Haddock

Blue Matter participated in the development of the 2022 assessment of Eastern Georges Bank haddock (Melanogrammus aeglefinus) to support management of the stock by the Transboundary Resources Assessment Committee (TRAC). Using retrospective forecasting, the fishing mortality reference level was updated based on the value that provided higher yields, intermediate catch variability, and higher biomass outcomes compared to alternatives.
