Salmon MSE

Blue Matter is developing a decision support tool to evaluate management actions for West Coast Canadian salmon stocks. Multi-stock models are needed to evaluate management actions that operate across different biological and spatial scales. While habitat enhancement and stocking operate on a single stock level, harvest operates on a mixed-stock level.

The proposed model is an extension of the openMSE package and we will use West Coast Vancouver Island Chinook salmon (Oncorhynchus tshawytscha) as a case study.
